1,000 Hashtags: The Trilogy!

I'm feeling nerdy today so I woke up and watched a bit of Lord of the Rings before heading to the shop. Fun fact: I'm a Legolas fan. So, I decided the third part of our hashtag celebration would be named somewhat after the movie.

Anyway! On to today's post. As promised this and last week, I wanted to round off our celebration of everyone who has tagged us in their photos using #HerChairHisHair in the last month. Although we've had a few themes, I thought today would just focus on the awesome photos that have been posted by these fantastic barbers.

Until Next Time!

Cassie

1,000 Hashtags: Part 2!

Sorry for the radio silence yesterday everyone! I was on set and it proved to be a busy, busy day. Of course I didn't want this to post without making sure I had included everyone that gave a shout with the hashtag #HerChairHisHair.

Last Thursday the theme was kids cuts and today I wanted to focus on the ladies behind the chair. So enjoy the beauty, brains and serious selfies these Lady Barbers serve up on their Instagram and don't forget to hashtag #HerChairHisHair so you can be featured the next time around!

For my crimes I promise to make another post tomorrow with a different theme. Pinky swear.

Oh! One last thing...we've officially hit 1.1k hashtags since last Thursday! Thank you again for the support it's truly amazing.

Always,
Cassie

1,000 Hashtags!

I woke up this morning and it was rainy, gross and cold here in New York. Then I logged on to HerChairHisHair's Instagram and saw that we exceeded 1,000 hashtags as of today! Last month when I reposted we were only around 650 if I recall correctly!

happy Her Chair His Hair Hashtag 1000 NYC

Thank you to everyone who has supported us: Lady Barbers, Brother Barbers and even clients tagging in their own selfies. It is amazing how far we have come since June 1st and I can't wait to see how much this community continues to grow!

There have been so many hashtags since the last time that I posted that I wanted to truly give each image a shot to be featured so between here and the Instagram page, I will be reposting images today through next Thursday. Don't forget to check and see if it's yours!

This week's theme is (*drumroll*)...BABIES! Too many of you posted kids that were just adorable so I decided to make a theme out of it...because I can. So there. :)

Always,
Cassie

PS: I've also decided to try this new gallery feature so you don't have to scroll forever and can save your thumb for shear work. Let me know what you think!

Hashtags Make Us #Happy

This past month has been an amazing one! Not one but TWO interviews with RxBarber, exploring all of the barbershops in San Francisco or meeting and interviewing @Shardae_Abbadie. It's truly been a blessing but what is even more awesome is all of the hashtags from our wonderful featured ladies as well as new faces every day. So here is some recent hashtags that we thought were pretty awesome and deserved being posted on the website! Your support is beautiful and makes me smile every single day!

Always,

Cassie

Free Cuts for the Homeless in New York

The whole premise of Her Chair His Hair is to create a platform for Lady Barbers but when a certain gent comes around we are more than happy to feature him. I've been quietly following Mark Bustos (@MarkBustos) since before the news picked up on his Sunday haircuts so it makes me so happy to see him finally getting the recognition he deserves.

Giving free haircuts since 2012, Mark inspired me to do the same and I'm sure so many others. It is so wonderful to see someone quietly utilizing their gift to better the world and he does it without any big spectacular introduction. Mark approaches each man and says 'I want to do something nice for you.' If they're interested he will gladly give them a trim or a cut, essentially boosting their self-worth and reminding us that a small but effective gift can really turn around a person's day.

I think it's safe to say that his Karma is set for quite a while. Well done, Mark, the whole Barber community is happy to have you represent us in such a positive and giving light.

Check back on Mondays and Thursdays at 11 AM EST for our next featured Lady Barber and more feel-good stories or helpful information. We look forward to your feedback as always and please join us in supporting the Barber community whether it's by watching the ScissorSalute™ Show on Mondays at 7:00 PM EST or downloading the new Lady Barbers United application for Iphone and Android.

Until Next Time,
C
